Don't be stuck by Google's two factor authentication to access 1xbet in Uganda
Like any company that is serious about securing access to its customers' accounts, 1xbet uses two-factor authentication (also called 2FA). This is mandatory from the moment you want to deposit or withdraw money on the sports betting app.
The principle of double authentication is not only to ask twice for a code, but rather:
- 1- Have a validation by knowledge => 1xbet account login and password
- 2- Have a validation by possession => Have the right cell phone, the one on which the Google Auth app is installed.
In order to ensure that the person logging in is you, if the phone changes (or if you log in from a different computer), 1xbet will also ask you to validate the new login device by sending a code by email, this is normal.

Activation of the double authentication

- 1- Go to your account (the chest on the top right)
- 2- "Security" line
- 3- Two-factor authentication, Protect your account from fraud in 2 steps

1xbet then provides you with a QR code that you will have to scan with the Google Authentificator application and thus validate the two-factor authentication.
To scan the QR code, open the Google Authenticator app and click on the small plus of all colors at the bottom right.
Where to find Google Authenticator?
It is a free mobile app, edited by Google. It generates a unique code every 15 seconds depending on the registered programm and the mobile phone.
It is available at this url, you can search it in your search engine. You have to download and install it.
Then you scan the QR code provided by 1xbet and a new line will appear in the Google Auth app.
From now on you will have to enter this code every time you connect to 1xbet where it says "enter code".
Problems with Google Authenticator and 1xbet
What is the second code to enter at 1xbet?
Once the classic login (email, ID or login + password) is done, 1xbet will ask you for another code. This is where you have to enter the one given by the Google Authenticator application.
Where is the QR code to get the 1xbet code line in Google Authenticator?
Simply go back to your account (the chest on the top right), click on the "security" line and then "two factor authentication" Ā». The QR will then be displayed.
You will then have to scan it with the Google Authenticator application.
To do this, you will have to authorize this app to access your camera or any other authorization requested by your phone; you can authorize this only once.

I changed my phone, my Google Auth code does not work anymore
The codes generated by the Google security app are only valid for one 1xbet player account and only one mobile device.
DSo if you change your phone, even if you reinstall the Google Authenticator app from the beginning, you will have a bad 1xbet code in the app. There are two possible solutions to get out of it:
1- You still have the old device on which you installed Google Authenticator for the first time and you have already installed the 1xbet app
On your previous phone:
- Open the Google Auth app
- Click on the 3 small vertical dots at the top right of the app
- Click on "Transfer accounts"
- Select "Export Accounts"
- Select the 1xbet line (normally the default)
- Follow the transfer instructions until you get a new QR code
Then on your new phone:
- Open the Google Auth app
- Uninstall the 1xbet line if you have installed it and it doesn't work (press the line for a few seconds and a trash can icon appears in the upper right corner instead of the 3 small vertical dots)
- Do the same thing as on your old phone, but this time with the "Import accounts" option
- Scan the QR code of your old phone
And there you go, the 1xbet line with the correct QR code is generated again on your new cell phone, phew.
2- You no longer have access to your previous phone (broken, stolen, lost..)
This is more annoying as you can no longer access your 1xbet account from your new phone.
- Install the Google Authenticator appl (see above)
- Send an email to [email protected] / [email protected]
Write as subject: I don't have access to Google Authenticator
Attach a picture of your identity document, indicate the game account number and explain that you no longer have access to your Google Authenticator code - Wait for the support team to respond and send you a QR code that you will need to scan with the Google Code app on your new phone.
Alternatively, you can also contact a 1xbet advisor by going to the website or app, without logging in, scroll down the menu on the top right (the 3 horizontal lines), then "Support" and finally choose one of the available chat options.

I get an "Invalid Code" message in the 1xbet app when I enter the code given by Google Authenticator
In this case, it is very often because you have changed your phone. I invite you to read the previous paragraphs.

How do I disable two-factor authentication at 1xbet?
This is now only possible using the desktop version of 1xbet.
You will have to find a computer with an internet connection, go to 1xbet.com and log in. The site will ask you to validate by email that it is you who connect and you will have to enter the Google Auth code which is accessible from your cell phone.
To disable 2FA:
- Once connected to 1xbet.com via a computer,
- Go to "My Account" (the little white chest in the top right menu)
- Account Settings
- There you should see, on the right, a section called Two Factor Authentication as below.
- Enter your login code (classic password)
